Lewis Hamilton and Ferrari ‘interact’ in summer break of 2011 Formula 1 season
Lewis Hamilton has recently admitted that Fernando Alonso did help him a lot in improving his driving skills during their time together at McLaren in 2007 after reports revealed that they ‘met’ recently.
These reports added that Hamilton has also revealed that Ferrari can be his future employers as well and that ‘anything can happen.’
“We are talking about a fantastic team and you never know what could happen. I always state that in my view the top three drivers in the championship are Fernando, Lewis and Sebastian. And from that point of view my attitude has not changed one bit,” Hamilton
told the media.
However, one has to admit that after what happened back in 2007, Hamilton and Alonso teaming up together is pretty much impossible and maybe these are just ‘talks’ which will fade away with due time.
The main reason why these reports seem legitimate is that even the team principal of Ferrari Stefano Domenicali admitted that Hamilton is one of the best on the grid due to his unending urge of ‘going for it’ in any situation.
“It's funny sometimes… you hear all the drivers saying 'No way, I cannot see anything'… and then you get Lewis and he is saying 'No, no. Let's go for it'. And for a driver to have this attitude is a great thing,” he said.
Both Hamilton and Alonso are former world champions and since the 2010 Formula 1 season, they have been competing for the titles quite actively keeping in mind that they have been the best drivers from their respective teams as well.
Red Bull Racing are in a completely different world as it is a new team and they do not have a legacy like Ferrari or McLaren. Like Renault once secured two championships in a row, maybe RBR are another team like that but Ferrari and McLaren are definitely
going to be at the front year after year as they are very consistent and reliable.
Seeing Alonso and Hamilton together once again is more like a dream for many but that is very unlikely to happen.
