Lewis Hamilton feels extremely happy on moving to Mercedes in 2013 – Formula 1 news
Lewis Hamilton has said that he is feeling really happy on moving to Mercedes in the 2013 Formula 1 season and is very excited about the new challenge.
Hamilton has enjoyed a long and a successful term with McLaren in his career so far. However, his contract with the Woking based team is going to expire at the end of this year and he has planned to join the Brackley based team in the coming season.
Moreover, the British driver said that he is eagerly waiting for the next year and is preparing himself to attain good results right from the start so as to secure good position in the drivers’ championship.
Meanwhile, the team principal, Ross Brawn has said that they are ready to develop a competitive car for the next season so that the 2008 world champion may compete well with his rivals.
On the other hand, the team principal of McLaren, Martin Whitmarsh expressed that Hamilton will struggle with the Silver Arrows in the next season because they have not been able to create a reliable car until now.
Additionally, the 27-year-old has faced a lot of criticism over his decision about moving to Mercedes which is lesser competitive side as compared to the British squad, but he is not paying attention to the ongoing speculations and is positively looking
forward to perform well in the future.
“No, I'm really, really happy about it. You can't live with regrets in your life,” he said.
Besides, he said that he is hoping to take Mercedes to new heights in the coming years and will try his best to achieve his aims.
“You have to make a decision and stick with it. Whether it's right or wrong, you just have to make the most of it, stick to your guns and hope you can turn it around or turn it into a positive.”
In this season, he could only secure 4th place finish in the drivers’ standings because he faced some technical issues in his car which hindered his performance in quite a few races. Let’s see how he performs in the next year.
