Lewis Hamilton feels stronger with good personal and professional relationships – Formula 1 news
McLaren driver Lewis Hamilton has said that he is feeling stronger with his strengthened personal and professional relationships in the 2012 Formula 1 season.
Hamilton struggled during the preceding year as he could not create a balance between his private and professional life. Moreover, he was completely outclassed by his teammate, Jenson Button and could only claim three grands prix victories.
Nevertheless, during the start of the current season, he asserted that he is aiming to give his due attention to the sport and is ready to make the necessary sacrifice in his personal life.
Moreover, he started the season as the most consistent point scorer as he secured third podium finish in the first three races and took the pole positions in the first two of them. Additionally, he scored an incredible win in the Canadian GP after taking
a start from second grid position.
Even though, he faced difficulties in few races and struggled with the lack of downforce and poor tyre management. Nonetheless, he is back in action as he took an inspiring victory in the Hungarian GP after claiming pole position.
The 2008 world champion said that he has learned from his mistakes in the past and is trying to rectify them so as to come up stronger in the forthcoming races.
“Every year you finish the season and you try to analyse what you've been through and what you've done, and try to take away the positives from what you've done,” said Hamilton.
Furthermore, he said that he has developed sound relationships not only in his private life but also with the members of his team which have helped him in regaining the momentum to fight for the title.
“I've always said it's a combination not just of things you do at the track, but it's your personal life out there, time at home, time with friends, those sort of things,” he said. “I've strengthened bridges and relationships with people, not only in my
personal life but also in my team. I've been working with the engineers better this year and all of that stuff has just helped.”
