Lewis Hamilton prepared to make sacrifice in private life for F1 – Formula 1 news
McLaren driver, Lewis Hamilton is prepared to make sacrifice in his private life and is aiming to advance towards the upcoming 2012 F1 season starting off at Albert Park in Melbourne, Australia on March 18, 2012 with a clear vision.
During the last season, Hamilton was defeated by his teammate for the first time in his F1 career and he was involved in a lot of accidents during the races due to which he had to face a lot of criticism.
However, Hamilton’s deficiency in performance during the last year could more or less be attributed to his inclination towards the personal life as he asserted that he was not ready to make enough sacrifices in that regard.
“Knowing that it had been a year when I had just thrown away points and made very silly mistakes I wasn't too devastated by it,” he was quoted as saying by the Daily Telegraph.
Hamilton said that he used to go out with his friends any time they wanted and he perceived that all those things will not make any difference to his performance in the race. Nevertheless, just before the start of this season, Hamilton has changed his insight
towards F1 and has expressed that these things really matter. Furthermore, he said that if one takes two days off from the training schedule, one’s focus is lost during the race.
In addition, he said that to be at the right place at the right time is very crucial and certainly helps in improving the on track performance.
Besides, he said that he did not think about the last season and was determined for the future. He also said that he was confident for the forthcoming season and the decisions he had taken for his personal life would surely help him in keeping better focus
on the race.
“Now I'm looking forwards. This year is what matters. Last year has absolutely no bearing on me, I don't care about last year. It's what's ahead of me which will define me. As I said, my mind's in a good place. When everything is right, or as my uncle says,
when all the stars are aligned and you can sing, I can get some good results,” said Hamilton.
