Lewis Hamilton says Sebastian Vettel will win the title again in 2013 – Formula 1 news
Lewis Hamilton, who will be joining Mercedes in 2013, has predicted that Red Bull Racing’s Sebastian Vettel will once again become the world champion in the 2013 F1 season making it his fourth consecutive title.
“It's going to be hard to beat Sebastian next year,” said Hamilton. “I think Sebastian's going to have another amazing car. The car he had this year was fantastic. It's going to be an evolution of that next year. Adrian only seems to get better with age;
I think he's going to do something special next year as well.”
Meanwhile, Hamilton, who announced his transfer from McLaren in September, has added that it will take him some six months to make his mark with Mercedes.
Earlier, the British driver had told that it will be hard to win races given the current car situation of Mercedes. Hamilton has now stated that he definitely wants to win and that is his goal. He said that he cannot wait to join the team; drive their car
and bring wins as quick as possible. He added that he feels like his determination to win has been renewed.
Hamilton has also expressed his immense gratefulness for McLaren. He said that his time at McLaren was fantastic and when he had first joined the team in 2007, he had not expected it to be the way it has finally turned out. He thanked all his team for the
hard work and all their efforts that helped him win his first F1 championship in the 2008 F1 season.
Recently, Hamilton has hinted about his return to McLaren sometime in the future saying that the team felt like a home to him. As a farewell gift from the whole team, he was given a foot model of the MP4-23 in which he won the 2008 F1 championship.
Team principal, Martin Whitmarsh, has also admitted that watching Hamilton leave is certainly sad and also that he might regret the move. Ron Dennis, chairman of McLaren, has also denied all speculations about having a rift with the driver and has wished
him well for the future.
