Lewis Hamilton says “World title is still within his reach”
The 25-year-old veteran Formula 1 racer from Great Britain Lewis Hamilton has claimed that his improved performance in the Korean Grand Prix has given him a new hope for the final two races of the Formula 1 season. Hamilton is of the view that he still has
an advantage over the others and he is still not out of the title race.
Now the situation over the points table is not very encouraging for the Englishman as there are only two races left in the championship and Hamilton is twenty one points adrift of the current point’s leader Fernando Alonso.
In a very recent interview the 25-year-old told the media that his racing team McLaren is very excited about the final two races and the team is ready to support him and his teammate Jenson Button in the upcoming Brazilian Grand Prix.
The Briton added that he has got nothing to lose now and he has to give his best to clutch more and more crucial points to improve his position in the championship. Lewis Hamilton said that the real pressure is over Fernando Alonso’s shoulders as he is leading
the points table and he has to shorten the point’s gap.
Now fifty points are left to be grabbed in the remaining two races of the Formula 1 championship. Currently five drivers are struggling for the championship title. Lewis Hamilton’s teammate and defending champion Jenson Button is forty two points behind
the leader whereas the Red Bull team’s drivers Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber are also in the contender-ship for this year’s world title.
Hamilton is residing on the third place over the standings table and is hopeful of overtaking Alonso in the upcoming race at Interlagos racing circuit. While talking about the matter Hamilton expressed his thoughts with sheer belief and said that he will
give up anything to snatch on any possible chance of grabbing crucial points. He said that he is confident that he can still win the Brazilian Grand Prix race and the victory in the race at Interlagos will open his chances of winning this year’s championship
title.
In a very recent interview the boss of the racing team McLaren has also expressed his sheer confidence over Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button. He also said that the team McLaren will fully support its veteran drivers in the final two races of the season.
While talking about the fact the former Formula 1 world champ, Hamilton told the media that his team knows that he never gives up and always fights for his chances of clinching a victory. He added and said that his team is backing him up in his struggle for
the championship title and it has given him a lot of inspiration.
Hamilton continued on saying that his chances are very open and he will not discourage his fans. He said that he is very happy about the fact that his fans have supported him through the ups and downs of his career. The 25-year-old added that he will he
appreciate the criticism by the media and the critics about his racing style and the criticism has helped him a lot to improve his performance.
The Englishman added and said that the current racing season has not been very lucky for him as he has not been able to finish some very important races but he has performed better at the Yeongam racing circuit of the Korean Grand Prix. He went on saying
that he is very motivated now and will show his fans that he can still change the results of the championship’s table in a marvellous way.
