Lewis Hamilton says he is determined to attain good result in Indian GP – Formula 1 news
McLaren driver Lewis Hamilton has said that he is determined to attain good result in the 2012 Indian Grand Prix which is going to be held at Buddh International Circuit this weekend.
Hamilton could only secure 10th place finish in the Korean GP as his rear anti-roll bar failed to work. Though, he has been considered as one of the most competitive title contenders in this season. However, after the preceding race he has lost
some crucial points in the championship battle and is now 62 points behind the current leader in the drivers’ standings, Sebastian Vettel of Red Bull Racing.
The British driver said that although his hopes to win the championship title have faded but he is still looking forward to achieve promising results for his team in the remainder of the season.
Moreover, he said that he could not deliver his best in India during the last season but he is feeling motivated and is positively looking forward to secure good result this time. Besides, he said that they are trying their best to make the necessary changes
in their car to come up stronger in the approaching race.
“I didn't have a particularly tidy weekend [in India] last year,” Hamilton said. “But I feel I've been driving better than ever recently even if the results haven't quite shown it - so I'm headed to India determined for another good result. I think we'll
have a car that's match for circuit and I can't wait to get out there and start practicing on Friday.”
In addition, he said that the track of the next race is one of the most challenging circuits for the drivers because of its fast corners.
“And that's because it's got an incredible flow basically, from Turn Four, a wide-apex right-hander that sweeps downhill, track is just a series of fast, rolling curves which really allow you to put car absolutely on limit,” he added.
Presently, the 2008 world champion is standing at 4th place in the drivers’ championship and it will be exciting to see how he performs in the remaining four races of the current season.
