Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton has said that there is much more to come from their squad in the next few grands prix of the 2013 Formula 1 season after attaining competitive results in the first two rounds.
Hamilton performed impressively well in the Australian GP at Albert Park in Melbourne and managed to secure fifth place finish after taking a start from third grid slot. Later, in the second race at Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia, he secured an
inspiring third podium finish after setting off from fourth grid position.
The British driver has said that they didn’t expect such an amazing start to this season and expressed immense satisfaction over their competitive results in the first two races.
He also said that they are working very hard to make the necessary developments so as to improve the pace of their car and asserted that there is much more to come from their side in the forthcoming races.
Besides, he said that he is going to spend a lot of time at their factory this weekend in order to work on some significant updates which they are planning to introduce in the Chinese GP.
“We've had a better start than we expected and to have finished in fifth and third places so far is really positive,” he said. “I know there is much more to come so we will keep working hard and pushing development of car. I'll be at the factory this weekend
and look forward to hearing about work that's gone on in last couple of weeks and upgrades that we will take to China.”
On the other hand, Hamilton’s teammate, Nico Rosberg has said that he is confidently looking forward to perform well at the Shanghai International Circuit in China where he claimed his maiden race victory in 2012 after securing his first ever pole position.
“I travel to China next week with very good memories from winning my first F1 race in Shanghai last year, and having led the race there for past three years,” Rosberg said.
Let’s see how the Silver Arrows perform in the third race of the season on April 14.
