Lewis Hamilton’s spokesman denies tie-up talks with Red Bull Racing – Formula 1 news
Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton’s spokesman from XIX Entertainment, Simon Fuller has denied the recent media rumours that the Brit is interested in driving for the Red Bull team.
Ht spokesman added that Hamilton and Red Bull team principal Christian Horner did meet and talk for at least 15 minutes but it had nothing to do with a tie-up.
Recently, media rumours suggested that after being unable to keep up the challenge to Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel in the opening seven races of the 2011 Formula 1 season, the Brit might think of changing his team. According to media, he was found in Red
Bull’s camp for that very reason.
However, Simon Fuller XIX spokesman said, “Neither Lewis nor his management team have had any discussions with regard to moving team.”
On the other hand, Hamilton added, “I feel very blessed to be here still in F1, fit, healthy and alive and still racing. There are many, many drivers that wish they could be in our position. Of course, you could always hope for things to be better, but good
times do come to those who wait.”
He added that he will wait for his turn to get his hands on the championship battle. In the Canadian Grand Prix, Hamilton’s teammate Jenson Button was able to pull off a great victory after being in the pit lane six times.
Button showed that his car was faster than all the cars on the grid. In his last stint, he started the race from 21st place and went on to win the race in the final lap.
Hamilton has the same kind of car but not the same kind of temperament as he tried to overtake in wet conditions and ended his race and probably championship hopes in the wall.
Nevertheless, the season continues with the eighth round in Valencia on June 26, 2011 and its Button who will be pursuing the championship leader Vettel. Let’s see how the drivers fare in Europe in two weeks’ time.
