Lexapro vs Prozac for s*x?

I found that Prozac almost completely shut down my libido. My Doctor said that Lexapro may have slightly less side effects. Can anyone who has had problems with depression/anxiety find an answer?

I have never taken Prozac myself but my step-dad took it and he hated it. He didn't have a s*x life to say the least. But my friend takes Lexapro and Wellbutrin. The Wellbutrin shut down her libido and the Lexapro definitely brought it back up for her. The doctor gives her both and she has no problems at all. So I would def. try the Lexapro to see if it doesn't bring up your libido.

Well Scott they're both SSRIs (Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors) and more than likely you're going to experience problems with Lexapro as well. Maybe not as profound with Prozac, but keep in mind they have some baseline, common side effects. try the Lexapro and see if it works, best way to know is to try it... right?

Another route to take, as embarrassing as this may be for you to discuss with them.. you may want to look into something like Cialis, Viagra, or even Testosterone treatment like AndroGel.
