Lexi´s Boy favourite for West Sound Juvenile Hurdle
A total of five runners have been attracted towards the West Sound Juvenile Hurdle at Ayr in England on Friday, April 20, 2012. The winning horse will walk away with a cash prize of £4,549 in the end.
The class-3 event, which is scheduled to start at 14:20 GMT, will test the stamina of all participants, as they will have to cover an overall distance of 2 miles. Following are the entries confirmed for the race: Lexi´s Boy, Dildar, Academy, Otto The Great
and Shisha Threesixty.
Out of the above mentioned runners, the bookies have given the best odds to Lexi´s Boy. His record over hurdles is pretty much impressive, thus it will be hard to stop him from winning the race. Due to this, the punters might also be placing a lot of bets
in his favour.
The four-year-old gelding has participated in five races over hurdles until now, winning a couple of them and finishing runner up once. In addition to that, he also secured a third spot on one occasion, which means that he missed out on the top three only
once in his career.
Importantly, the Donald McCain’s trainee has performed well in his most recent race, which means that he is carrying terrific rhythm right now. He was the favourite for that event and completely dominated the rest of the pack.
Lexi´s Boy will be partnered by Jason Maguire, who is one of the best riders. He has won 261 races over hurdles at a decent strike rate and will be hoping for a strong show yet again.
On the other hand, Dildar will also be the one to watch out for in the race, as he seems to be in extremely good shape. He has taken part in a couple of races over hurdles, winning one of them.
The four-year-old gelding has the tools to deliver a winning performance at Ayr, thus the bettors will be encouraged to place some bets in his favour. He will be partnered by veteran jockey, Ruby Walsh, who has won 156 races over hurdles, at a magnificent
strike rate.
Other than the top two favourites, Otto The Great is also expected to attract quite a few bets in his favour.
