Lexi Thompson misses cut in two consecutive events

American Lexi Thompson is going through a rough time these days, as she was seen struggling with her game in the last two tournaments she participated in.
Lexi took part in the Safeway Classic 2012, held over two weeks ago at Ghost Creek Golf Course, Oregon, United States, with a big aim in her mind. However, when she set foot on the course to tee off, her confidence
drained away, and she struggled with her putts throughout the first day.
Despite faltering, Lexi managed to shoot a decent 70 in the opening round, but the second day put a damper on her spirits as she posted a woeful 81, and walked off the course without even making the cut.
The America star had expressed confidence in her game even after having failed to perform well at the Safeway Classic 2012, but her worry did not end there as she faced yet another shock at the CN Canadian
Women’s Open 2012.
The CN Canadian Women’s Open 2012 was staged just one week after Safeway Classic 2012. Lexi’s performance looked as bad as what she did a week ago in Oregon.
She scored an overall 148 in the first two rounds of Canadian Open 2012 and ended up missing the cut. The LPGA star shot a 73 in the opening round, but faltered on the second day as she registered a 75 making
a dent in her position on the leaderboard.
Like Lexi, American Paula Creamer is also struggling to end her victory drought. Creamer, who is best known for her solid putting skills, has not been able to perform well in the current season.
She finished tied for 60th at the CN Canadian Women’s Open 2012. However, she looked much better at the Safeway Classic 2012 that was staged just a week before the Canadian Open. Creamer shot an
overall 213 to finish tied for 19th at Safeway Classic.
Speaking to the media at the end of the tournament, Creamer had expressed her hope to start winning again. She said that she is concerned about not being perfect on the course, but has not lost hope at all.
Creamer said that finishing inside the top 20 at Safeway Classic has been a good experience and she will try to keep the momentum going in coming tournaments.
