I found several websites useful when my district adopted the lexile system last year.

This website has information about SRI, Scholastic's Reading Inventory, which my district uses to help teachers better support students based on their results.

This website also has a good grasp and explanation of lexiles, and provides lots of research info and basics.  Very user-friendly.

Really, though, I found lexile.com to be the most helpful site out there in understanding the concept and finding books at levels for my students.
