i have a lexmark 8300 all in one printer, i have attempted o install it using the software disk provided, that was unsuccessful, i then downloaded the drivers for vista, when i tried to install the new drivers, i was advised to unstall the previous drivers before i culd install the new one, problem!!, will not allow me to unstall, states that unstall is not reponding, i have swithc off my firewall, nil happened, please, please how do i get this to install, heeelp.

frustrated student Having the very same problem... Got a new computer with Vista Home Basics operating system, and I have tried and tried to install the Lexmark 8300 series. It has been to no avail. Has any one figured this mess out??? Tried turning off the firtewall also, but still no go. Please Help!!!!
