Lexmark X2600 refill problem

I have a new Lexmark X2600 3 in 1 scanner/printer that just went thru its first cartridge. I refilled the cartridge with Nukote ink as I have my last 3 Lexmark printers. When I installed the refilled cartridge it keeps telling me to install a new cartridge. Is there something in this printer that will not allow it to use a refilled cartridge?
