After my "Working" printer was disconnected from the computer by a "Friend" on reconnection the printer would not operate, on attempting to print it gives the error message"printer cannot communicate with the computer".
When checking through Device Manager under USB connections it reports an error on USB Printing Support it gives the message "This device cannot start (Code 10)".
The printer has been unistalled and reinstalled twice and the USB cable has been changed, installation was using the original lexmark software CD, the operating system is Windows XP proffesional with service pack 2.
