  1. If it's too good to be true, it usually ends badly.

Easily get the CARFAX report to make sure they haven't title washed it.(faked records and not reporting things such as salvage or flood titled or total loss cars) You need to avoid water damage because these Lexus rely on their computer to function properly, so water damage to that will be a big headache in the future, trust me--avoid all salvage or flood titles.

If that goes okay then check the engine and take it t a mechanic. There have been thousands of cars from the hurricane that have been title washed and get to CA perfectly clean titled at the DMV..it's hitting a lot of used dealer lots with low mileage and low prices.  Be careful...but Carfax shows all the history so you should be okay if you do that, it will cost you $30 but well worth it.  My mom purchased an SC430 2004 for $30K, it was too good to be true, she bought it-THEN we decided to carfax it after the purchase (dumb move!) and we found out it was flood titled, total loss and odometer tampered.  Luckily that a**hole who sold it to us was so scared we would report him he refunded our money.  My mom went straight to the Lexus dealer instead where they provided the Carfax on the passeneger seat of every pre-owned..wheww!

A GX is a great choice by the way- but they are quite expensive in the 40K range so just be careful not to get ripped off, people here care that's why they say it's a scam, they don't want you to be fooled.

  2. it's a trick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. it's a scam to get your e-mail address and sell it to Nigeria scam artist.  If you inquire about it, you will shortly receive e-mails from someone trying to protect a large sum of money with a huge stipend for you.  In actuality, they will empty your bank account in short order.

  4. That is an amazing deal, which is why the others and I think its a scam.  There are many scams out there right now that have to do with cars selling for less than half of what they're worth and have to do with money orders.  Unless the car has been flooded or just has way too many things wrong with it, it is a scam.  Buyer beware.
