Lexus join hands with US Open in conducting an online survey
Lexus has joined hands with US Open in conducting an online survey aimed at bringing out the true passion of fans regarding golf by finding out how crazy they are about the sport. Lexus has successfully completed five years of
partnership with USGA and to celebrate the milestone achieved, the two corporate giants have decided to treat the golf lovers with an exclusive offer.
The news regarding the deal was confirmed by the vice president of marketing, Dave Nordstrom in a press conference on Monday in California.
Nordstrom said, “Since not everyone can make it out to Congressional for this year's U.S. Open, we want to share our passion for golf with fans by letting them express their love for the game on the Lexus Facebook page. We value
the golf community and invite them to check in with us daily and vote on everything from how far they are willing to go for the perfect swing to how many golf bags they can fit in their car. The page will be an engaging destination for golf fans to connect.”
Explaining the procedure of the survey, Norsdstrom said that Lexus had a Facebook page, where fans could log in and comment on extreme things they have done in golf. According to Nordstrom, Lexus will post a new question regarding
golf every week to see the passion of golf lovers. In return, the fans will see the poll results in real-time.
Moreover, Lexus will be increasing the US Open fans who will be watching the tournament via the site. A Full Swing Golf simulator has been installed inside a Lexus Performance Drive Pavilion, which will persuade golf lovers to
take their best shot on a Congressional course. The fan who makes the best shot will win a CT Hybrid.
Included in the same entertainment package is a picture with the US Open Championship Trophy and posters signed by golf pros.
The 2011 US Open Championship will take place on June 16 - 19th at Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Maryland. The tournament will witness 156 finest golfers of the world fighting for the Claret Jug that currently lies in
the showcase of Graeme McDowell.
