Lg viewty battery problems?

charged my battery today and took it off then noticed fone had gone off would not come on so charged it again and it came on charged it for five mins then put it in pocket then noticed pocket was hot phone was red hot to touch now it will not charge took battery out rest of phone ok so is it the battery thats burnt out? thanks

Yeah, it sounds like something has gone wrong with just the battery. Take it back to wherever you get it from and ask if they can replace the battery for you, or if that's not possible, take it to any phone shop and see what they can do (although you'll probably be charged for repairs if it's not under guarantee!).

I have this phone. Never had any problems. Sounds like there is something wrong with the battery though. Might be leaking, is there any stuff around the battery or where it is kept in the phone.
