Lgbt: what's so kool about being in the scene?

What's the pros and cons of being in the g*y scene...? I don't get it...

By the "scene" Im guessing they mean the g*y nightlife? Like going out to clubs and bars and such.

Pros: they can be fun, you can meet people, if you want to you could probably hook up, can hang around people who have the same sexuality without fear of being persecuted.

Cons: It can get old really fast, it can be very superficial, its difficult to meet people of quality.

If you take it for what it is, it can be fun, but if you read to much into it, can make you miserable;)

Pros: accepting yourself meeting new people that have the same interests as you, like liking the same s*x.

Cons: Prejudice, disrespect, hypocrites

cons: youll get judged for being lgbt by others who are ignorant.

Pro- you can hang out with people who understand you, and can find dates much easier.

Con- Sometimes too much focus on alcohol, and shallow people.

eewwa...?  Thats so funny!

I think its just because most young people (and some less young!) like to go out and have fun regardless of orientation and the scene is a safe place for the LGTB comunity to go out and let their hair down and have that fun.

The problem I had with it is that there were so many people out for a night of fun!  They would have their fun and then you never see them again or you realise they are not particularly suited to you and you are in a sticky stop!

I personally am the sort of person that would like to out with friends but not on the pull.  However it is hard to find other g*y people anywhere other than the scene so You just have to be carefull not to amke any mistakes in the heat of the moment with alcohol and atmosphere and don't be taken advantage of.
