Li Han demolishes Aiying Xing to storm into Women’s Singles quarter-final at Kumpoo Macau Open
China’s emerging shuttler Li Han continued her roller-coaster run and stormed into Women’s Singles quarter-final after defeating Singapore’s Aiying Xing in round-of-16 contest at Kumpoo Macau Open Badminton GP Gold 2012 in Macau, on Thursday, November 29.
The third seeded Han, who showed a stunning performance in all of her battles in the tournament, played in a scintillating manner and remained successful in beating her Singaporean challenger while consuming just 32 minutes in the court.
Chinese shuttler started her campaign in a crushing fashion in opening game but she had to employ all of her skills in the second game and sealed off a convincing victory against her rival in straight games with a dominating score on the board.
On the other hand, Aiying could not find a good flow in the first set and lost it easily. However, she put up strong resistance in the following set but remained unlucky in the ending points and eventually lost the match without making her presence strongly
felt.
In the first game of the match, the impressive Han showed a wonderful display of her skills in the arena and easily wrapped up an early lead.
Han showed that she has obtained top skills and remained successful in getting a strong position against her confused rival who failed to show up a strong resistance.
Chinese shuttler did not show any mercy to her Taipei opponent in the starting half and established a tremendous lead until the break.
After the one-minute interval, Han was focused in the arena and remained successful in maintaining a sound gap.
Chinese lady was very calm and composed in her play as she did not take pressure and finished up the first set with a terrific margin of 21-6.
In the second game, Han did not lose her focus at any stage and stayed ahead of her rival who could not produce good form and remained struggling in the arena.
After the break, the lofty Han continued her comfortable run and easily grabbed the game with a close margin of 21-19.
Han overpowered her Singaporean challenger in straight games in 32 minutes with a reasonable 21-6 and 21-19 score on the board.
