Li Na furious at her loss at the French Open and wants some time to relax her mind – Tennis News

Chinese number one, Li Na, is still in shock from her unexpected loss in the fourth round of the Roland Garros French Open on Monday. Of all the contenders, she lost to the Kazakh qualifier, Yaroslava Shvedova. It was a gruelling
three-setter but the Chinese number one was expected to win the battle at any cost and march on successfully in her Grand Slam title defence.
Talking to the media representatives, she mentioned, “I will take some days off to totally forget tennis, and then try to come back next week.” It seems like she is extremely disheartened at her favour and she should be. She lost
to the 142nd ranked Kazakh who was not expected to reach so far in the contest anyway. It has been a terrific performance from the 24-year-old who has stunned everyone and booked a spot in the quarter-finals of the French Open; will face-off against
the fourth seed Czech, Petra Kvitova, on Wednesday.
Li further commented, “Right now I have not decided if I am staying here to play Birmingham or go back to China to recover. I lost one match so don't try to put me down. This is tennis. I will try to find the reason why I lost."
World number seven has not yet decided about her future. She will take her time in making a final decision about whether to stay in Europe and prepare for the grass court season or move back to China and take some rest. However,
one thing is for sure that she will not be seen in action for at least one week and probably wants the journalist to give her room as she recovers from such an unexpected loss in Paris, France.
Li is definitely under a lot of pressure especially from the Chinese media who are thinking that she did something pretty bad and probably squandered an opportunity to make the country proud. This is the major reason that she was
completely bobbed down in the match against Shvedova; didn’t have her concentration in the match but on the expectations that pulled her over.
