Japan’s top shuttlers Hiroyuki Endo and Kenichi Hayakawa showed a great performance and reached into Men’s Doubles final after showing exit to their lower ranked challengers Bodin Issara and Maneepong Jongjit of Thailand in semi-final contest at Li Ning China Masters 2012 in China, on Saturday, September 15.
The top seeded Hiroyuki and Kenichi, who are World Number 10 in Men’s Doubles world placements at the moment, showed their remarkable performance on court and overpowered the fourth seeded Bodin and Maneepong who are placed at number 14 in the world.
Hiroyuki and Kenichi played with precision and managed to put up strong show of top class badminton.
Japanese players worked really hard on court and overpowered their Thai opponents in three games with a reasonable margin on score board.
In the meanwhile while, the lower ranked Bodin and Maneepong also did well on court as they employed all of their skills and also snatched one game from their Japanese opponents but they failed to put up strong show in the deciding game and lost the battle in 55 minutes.
In the first game, both sides showed their aggressive skills as they kept the tempo fast and remained close until the end of opening half.
After the interval, the Japanese shuttlers played with tremendous precision and managed to snatch the first game with a reasonable score of 21-18.
The second game was absolutely fantastic when the Thai shuttlers lifted up their level of play and gave a tough fight to their top seeded opponents until the end of opening half.
After the one-minute break, Hiroyuki and Kenichi tried to dictate the terms of the game but failed to push their rivals on back foot and eventually lost the second set with a 19-21 score on the board.
The deciding game was shocking for Thai players who failed to maintain their supremacy on court and remained struggling in opening half.
On the other hand, Hiroyuki and Kenichi were positive and focused on court and they easily bagged the final set with a one-sided 21-11 score on the board.
Hiroyuki and Kenichi won this Men’s Doubles semi-final clash in rubber games with a thrilling margin of 21-18, 19-21 and 21-11.
