Li Ning China Masters: Bin Qiao stuns Kento Momota to surge into Men’s Singles main round
Bin Qiao, an emerging shuttler from China proved his mettle on court and surged into Men’s Singles main round after crushing his experience challenger Kento Momota of Japan in qualifying round battle at the Li Ning China Masters Super Series 2012 in China, on Tuesday, September 11.
The budding Bin, who has been proving his worth at domestic level in China, put up staggering show against Momota in the last qualifying round contest and overpowered his in a commanding fashion without having any trouble.
Bin showed a great play by proving himself the most promising shuttlers in the junior lot as he played mature game throughout the contest and easily stamped his mark over Momota in straight sets with a phenomenal margin on the board.
The Japanese player, on the other hand, tried to play at his best speed but he failed to push his rival on back foot at any stage in the whole match and eventually crashed out without proving his worth on court.
The opening game was absolutely stunning when Bin established his supremacy from the starting points and remained successful in taking a fabulous lead until the mid-game interval.
After the break, Momota again tried to manipulate the loopholes of his opponent but he failed to execute his shots in right areas.
In the meanwhile, Bin played with tremendous control throughout the concluding phase. He did not commit any mistake at the ending stage of opening set and took it with a crushing 21-13 score on the board.
The second game was much better when Momota showed glimpses his brilliance and gave a superb fight to Bin who was also playing at the similar level. Until the interval, both shuttlers remained unable to claim a reasonable lead.
After the break, Bin continued showing his aggression without letting his rival to catch up the deficit at any stage and he managed to finish up the second set in an amazing way with a decent 21-17 score on the board.
The in-form Bin registered a spectacular victory over Momota in straight games with a wonderful difference of 21-13 and 21-17.
