Li Ning China Open 2012: Bin Qiao crushes Riichi Takeshita to surge in Men’s Singles main round
Bin Qiao, who is a future hope for China, showed a staggering performance in front of his home fans and advanced into Men’s Singles main round after defeating Japan’s Riichi Takeshita in qualifying round of Li Ning China Open 2012 on Tuesday, November 13, in Shanghai.
The impressive Qiao, who has been putting in his best effort to elevate his skills of the game for the last one year, played with speed and confidence which helped him to register a comprehensive victory over his Japanese rival.
Qiao entered into the arena with an aggressive approach and he did not show any respect to his opponent throughout the match and easily finished it in two games with a dominating margin on the board.
Takeshita, on the other hand, played quivering badminton on court as he could not compete with the incredible speed and accuracy of his Chinese opponent and lost to him without creating a strong impact.
The aggressive Qiao performed well from the initial rallies of first game as he played with wonderful speed and entertained his home fans with him tremendous skills.
Chinese shuttler was in command on court as he dictated the pace of rallies from all areas and ultimately remained successful in taking a strong position on the board.
Qiao advanced with an impressive speed as he did not miss any chance to earn points and remained in lead on score board until the mid-game interval.
In the concluding half of first set, Takeshita failed to create trouble for his rival as he lost his focus and committed many unforced errors.
However, Qiao was consistent and positive on court and he managed to grab the first game with a terrific 21-11 margin on the board.
In the second game, Takeshita also showed his brilliance as he played attacking badminton and stayed close to his local rival until the end of opening half.
After the one-minute break, Takeshita failed to show strong performance as he lost his control over the pace of rallies.
In the meanwhile, Qiao remained patient but quick in the arena and he easily took the set with a reasonable difference of 21-17.
The Chinese player proved his supremacy on court as he ended up this qualifying round battle in a staggering fashion with a 21-11 and 21-17 score on the board.
