Li Ning China Open 2012: Jiang Yanjiao demolishes Desi Hera in Women’s Singles first round
Jiang Yanjiao, one of the most seasoned and in-form shuttlers from China, lived up to expectations on court and remained successful in throwing out Indonesia’s Desi Hera in Women’s Singles first round at Li Ning China Open 2012 on Wednesday, November 14,
in China.
The World Number Eight Yanjiao, who is also eighth seed in Men’s Singles main round of the tournament, played in a completely commanding fashion and remained successful in beating Desi in a lopsided fashion.
Chinese shuttler was in impressive form as she played with confidence and did not let her home fans down by keeping up the pace of rallies. She easily thrashed her Indonesian challenger in straight games with a commanding margin.
On the other hand, the lower ranked and un-seeded Desi was helpless against her in-form local challenger on court as she committed many unforced mistakes and eventually crashed out at the initial stage of the championship.
The impressive Yanjiao delivered amazingly well from the early points of first game as she played with fabulous speed and took over the charge of rallies.
Yanjiao proved her supremacy in the arena and ultimately remained successful in taking a strong position in the arena.
Until the mid-game interval, the aggressive Yanjiao was progressing with an impressive margin as she took a wonderful lead.
After the one-minute break, the local shuttler continued playing in the same manner and did not lose her focus in the arena all the way.
The higher ranked Yanjiao did not face any considerable resistance from her Indonesian challenger and won the set with an overwhelming 21-13 margin on the board.
In the second game, Yanjiao did not lose her control at any stage in the opening half by playing attacking badminton and remained in command until the one-minute break.
After the 60-second interval, the in-form Yanjiao continued putting up remarkable show in the ending part of second game and remained successful in clinching the game with a reasonable margin of 21-15.
The aggressive Yanjiao registered a comprehensive victory over Desi in straight games of 34 minutes with a crushing margin of 21-13 and 21-15.
