Li Ning China Open: Sung Hyun Ko and Yong Dae Lee secure a title berth in Men’s Doubles category
Korea’s experienced players Sung Hyun Ko and Yong Dae Lee continued their killing run in the arena as they played with tremendous precision and secured a title berth in Men’s Doubles category at the Li Ning China Open 2012 in Shanghai, on Saturday, November
17.
In the semi-final battle, Sung Hyun and Yong Dae were in staggering form in the arena as they played with confidence and toppled their higher ranked rivals Hiroyuki Endo and Kenichi Hayakawa of Japan.
The un-seeded Sung Hyun and Yong Dae, who remained unbeatable throughout the tournament, continued putting up stunning show of top class badminton and they did not face any considerable trouble in winning the semi-final match in straight games with a dominating
margin.
On the contrary, the fourth seeded Hiroyuki and Kenichi failed to maintain their aggressive play in the arena as they failed to stay positive when it mattered most and eventually lost the match without claiming any game.
In the starting game, the impressive Sung Hyun and Yong Dae delivered a spectacular performance on court as both of them executed incredible shots with amazing speed from starting rallies.
The lofty Sung Hyun and Yong Dae were very quick in getting the bird early from all over the court and they did not face any complication in placing their strokes in desired areas.
Until the end of first half, in in-form Sung Hyun and Yong Dae achieved a strong position on board by taking a reasonable gap until the end of opening half.
After the mid-game interval, Sung Hyun and Yong Dae stayed focused in the arena by playing in the similar fashion and remained successful in finishing up the opening game with a decent 21-16 total on the board.
In the second game, Sung Hyun and Yong Dae continued their attacking play which helped them to stay ahead on score board until the one-minute interval.
After the break, the hard to return smashes and net killings kept Sung Hyun and Yong Dae in commanding position and they easily ended up the set with a comfortable margin of 21-15.
Sung Hyun and Yong Dae easily finished up the battle in straight games with a crushing 21-16 and 21-15 score on the board.
