Indonesia’s talented player Jeffer Rosobin started his campaign well as he easily won his Men’s Singles first round encounter against his compatriot Dea Adi Rangga at the DJARUM SIRKUIT NASIONAL Li Ning Jakarta Open 2013 in Indonesia, on Tuesday, May 14.
The impressive Jeffer, who is the 10th seeded player in Men’s Singles draw of the championship, played with superb speed and managed to stamp his mark over Rangga by taking 35 minutes in the arena.
The higher ranked Jeffer played with great precision and he elevated his game at crucial stages in the match. He finished off this opening round contest in straight sets by putting up a convincing total of 21-16 and 21-13 on the score board.
Meanwhile, the un-seeded Rangga also gave a good fight in the opening set but failed to maintain his positive play and eventually lost his focus. He threw away points by playing negative badminton and lost the match without getting a considerable total.
The unmatched speed and attacking shots of Jeffer helped him to take control of the pace from the starting rallies of first set.
The speed of the rallies was quite fast in first set and Jeffer entertained local crowd with his unmatched craft.
However, until the end of starting half of starting set, both shuttlers were close on the score board as the lower ranked Rangga also played good badminton.
The match proceeded in the same fashion after the one-minute interval as Jeffer did not lose his focus on court.
It was a smooth sailing for the in-form Jeffer who did not face any reasonable opposition from his rival and won the first set with a decent 21-16 margin on the board.
Rangga was once again in all sorts of trouble in the second game as he received a cruel treatment from his rival who was flawless on court.
Jeffer entertained the crowd with his unparalleled craft that assisted him to keep pressure on his challenger who failed to produce good form.
The aggressive and positive play in the concluding part of second set assisted Jeffer to earn the set with a superb 21-13 total on the board.
