If you been in a accident,(your fault)can you still pay a $500 deductable through your insurance to get your car fixed still.Considering you still have to pay for the other vehicle to get fixed?

  1. If you have collision coverage on your policy ...that will pay for the damage to your vehicle less your deductible.

    Any damage sustained by the other party is handled under your Liability coverage.

    It is very common in an at fault accident for there to be a collision claim on your car and a liability claim on the other person's car.

  3. If you have a $500 deduct, you either have collision or comprehensive coverage.  If it's collision, yes you can get your vehicle repaired whether or not repairs are being done to the other vehicle.

    Your repairs are under collision, their repairs are through your property damage.
