Lib Tech Travis Rice MTX or Burton Custom?

Question

Found both the Lib Tech Travis Rice with Magne-traction and the Burton Custom for $250.

I am on the east coasts so I think MTX would be nice. I don't like the super liberal political messages in graphics on the Travis Rice.

Anyone know where I can get the a "burton custom with magne-traction"? lol

What should I do?

Go with the Lib Tech.  So many people have Burton - be different.  If there's a specific area of the design you hate you could always sticker it.  I have heard nothing but rave reviews of Magnetraction.

They are both great boards.  

Burton doesn't offer magnatraction.  That is a mervin thing (gnu, libtech, roxy).  

I know some guys who love magnatraction.  My home mtn is Hood, so we have our share of crappy conditions, and they say it really holds its edge.  

I haven't tried the Travis Rice MTX, but I have a good friend with it, and he loves it.  He is a really good rider.  

I have tried teh Custom, and it is my second favorite board I've tried. My favorite is the Gnu Rider's Choice.

I own a Burton Custom, And I would HANDS DOWN say that you should get the TRAVIS RICE PRO MODEL is so so gangster. And It is actually the 1st pro model with magnatraction on it, Good ole TR. So Do i like my custom you say? Yes I love it, but IM also on the east coast , I ride straton, killington, gore, west, maple , instruct @ jiminy peak, mt snow, so on., Peeps at places like HOOD dont know about crappy snow. Ok So HANDS down for an east coast shredder, the TR Pro model is your choice good luck dude

Go for the Lib Tech.  I know a couple of guys who ride Lib Tech and swear by their decks.  They don't have that particular board, but I don't think you can go wrong with it.   The Custom is likely a decent ride as well, but why not go for a bit more style and originality?  Have fun with it!
