  1. It is interesting that many liberals will not admit to be liberal.  They consider themselves conservative.  I am about as liberal (in the modern sense of the word which means socialist) as I think is prudent which makes me somewhat to the right of Genghis Khan and I am also a skeptic of human caused harmful warming.

  2. I am considered liberal and i do not believe in the hysteria of global warming.  I do believe that it has warmed over the last 140 years, but I believe it is natural.  The whole basis of this man-made global warming is a correlation of a slight temperature increase and a drastic increase in CO2.  During the Earth's one run away greenhouse effect that took place hundreds of millions of years ago (maybe billions), CO2 was 10% per volume of the atmosphere and the global temperature was 120 degrees.  Today, the CO2 concentration is .00385% per volume and roughly 60 degrees.  That is 33.33 times the amount of our current concentration and only double the temperature.  So when they say we will have catastrophic events due to our CO2 levels becoming 450 ppm, they are vastly exxagerating.  This has clearly become a political agenda that needs to be put to rest.  This agenda is causing rising gas and food prices.

  3. You can't be liberal and a AGW denier.  So called "global warming" is a political dogma and has nothing to do with science.

To be a liberal without accepting the dogma of "global warming" is like a communist who believes in individual freedoms.

  4. I'm either a liberal conservative or a conservative liberal.  The political parties get so polarized on issues in the U.S. that they take comical  and dogmatic positions on issues that have no practical relevance to average citizens.

The warming is real and it makes sense to consider what role we might play and what we might do about it, but using that hubub to implement new taxes that are guaranteed to be ineffective definitely exposes an agenda that has nothing to do with solving the problem.

  5. Global climate change is not a political debate but a scientific debate.  People who flatly deny or accept global climate change without knowing any of the facts are not looking at the issue with a real objective view which is necessary for a topic like this.  Do we look at weather gravity is constant from a liberal or conservative viewpoint?  The answer is no but since some major people who were early adopters of global warming were 'liberal' it was automatically associated with the liberal standpoint.  Now it is viewed poorly upon if you believe it and you are conservative and poorly upon if you don't believe it if you are liberal.

This partisan way of thinking needs to be left behind on an issue that should be driven with scientific thought.

  6. Global warming is a natural cycle it's. green house gas that people saying cause climate change is just a small part of global warming phenomenon.

  7. That would really make global warming sound a religion! But i believe global warming is true but not man made global warming. Cause whatever we do, WE CAN NOT change the course of NATURE. It has it's own way of regaining balance.

cut down carbon all you want! I SIMPLY DONT CARE. Al Gore is simply wrong with his priorities. that's all I could muster right now.

  8. I'm not sure if many who think of them selves as "conservative" are comfortable with deniers.
