Question:

Liberal Media ??? Where , "DNC Bounce Smaller Than Others" been on there for hours now ?

Funny that on the front page of yahoo, that same story has been there now for 3 hours????

Bracketed by "McCain campaign: Obama spreading 'smears' about Palin" and "• Gustav claims could be as high as $10 billion"

Both the Gustav and McCain stories are new as are all the other headlines.. but the DNC lackluster bounce gets an extended play...

why?

what's even funnier is that I posted just day before yesterday , That Palin's selection within 12 hours of Obama's speech would all but extinguish DNC's thunder, along with the Gustav hype.. and that the media would play on it's own silence about the DNC...

Now it's portrayed as a "Small bounce" ??????

Is it possible to run a fair campaign in the United states anymore, with the omnipresent corporate Infotainment industry ?

  1. What else are they going to put on? The RNC is pretty much back on track and Gustav wasn't the huge disaster that they were hoping for.

And Obama isn't spreading smears against Palin. HE tried to put an end to them. It's his supporters who are doing the smearing. Let's give credit where credit's due.

  2. Because there is no "liberal media", as you claim.

If there were a bias, the article would hail Obama's convention bump, and not mention how low it was compared to the others in the past.

Or are you complaining because the story has been there for 3 hours?  Maybe if someone has a short attention-span, 3 hours is a long time, but not to me.

Yes, it is possible to run a fair campaign.  It's up to the viewer to stop reading their own baises into the news coverage.

  3. You seem to be working under the assumption that the mainstream American media actually knows what it is talking about and/or knows what it is doing, as if it "had a plan".

don't assume that. It's simply not true.

The mainstream American media has degenerated into the most embarrassing excuse for information in the entire Western world. Aside from a few blogs and a few battery-powered radio stations, and maybe a fuzzy cable channel coming out of some cabin in the woods, the sources available to the American people for good information are drying up rapidly.

  4. THANK YOU !!!!  I was wondering about that myself!

  5. No, the media is a show. I notice that peple in the media are trying hard now to stick up for Palin after the initial surprise and disappointment. They want the fight to be fair, balanced, false and high in ratings. The truth is so far down the list it doesn't matter.

  6. Obama spreading smears about Palin...really?

Lets just face the music and admit that Mccain picked someone rather "questionable" for his VP.

  7. Are you basing your entire argument over the Yahoo homepage.

As for the small bounce, McCain was smart, the DNC made big news at the convention but McCain made much bigger news picking a female VP, don't blame the media for the small bounce, blame McCain.

Also every single speech at the convention, besides Biden (sometimes), just said Bush is McCain, McCain is Bush, Obama is the solution. They said the same thing they said 100 times before and will say 1000 times again. Another reason why there was a small bounce.

Most of the media, excluding talk radio, is liberal dominated. Yes there are fair and conservative sources out there but liberal media is abundant.

  8. and they ignored the anarchists protesting at the DNC and report them at the RNC? - lol, now right wingers are claiming anarachists are democrats! anarchists are the exact opposite of dems. lmao

  9. The "lackluster" bounce was four percentage points rather than five. The way things are going, the Republicans may get a negative bounce. Now that's lackluster!

btw the "liberal media" is a myth. Its a wacko conspiracy theory.

  10. I don't suppose it could just be a slow news day considering one of the stories is about some actress that loves cocaine.

MISSDEMEAN:  With Obama's track record, he shouldn't be pointing at others.

EDIT:  I didn't misunderstand your question but I disagree.  There is a lot of bias in the media.  The television media and newpaper media lean toward the liberals.  The radio media (shows) tend to lean heavily toward the conservative side.  The internet is a mesh of everything and anything much of which is questionable.
