Liberals are going to love this, Good idea or not?

Question

Texas teachers are going to start pack'n pistols. Just a small school at first, but it'll be at a town near you before you know it. I think they should have started this a long time ago.

Schools either need to hire armed security or have a police force for a district. The districts in San Antonio have their own peace officers, smaller districts should go with security. Peace officers and commissioned security officers are trained in gun safety and retention and the laws involving deadly force. I am all for gun rights though. If you have teachers carrying guns, they should carry concealed and be thoroughly trained.

Funny isn't it? Cop with gun good, anyone else with gun bad. Cops don't exactly have a corner on brains, and they do ok, with a few mishaps.

Democrats seem to be immune to the statistics, except the ones they pull out of thin air. More people with guns = less crime. That's held true all over the US. Liberal areas where guns are pretty much banned have much higher death rates by shooting, and much higher crime rates.

I've shot guns all my life, and I'm not a cop. Trust me, if something bad goes down you want me around with a gun. Now I would never suggest an untrained person be carrying in school, that would be stupid, but someone who knows what they are doing? Who's lived a responsible life and is a proven good citizen? Heck yes! Is that fool proof? Nope, but I'd rather have good people around with guns than not. Maybe the idiots who don't think people can handle guns without shooting themselves shouldn't have guns ... I am all against idiots with guns, for sure.

It is a pretty bad idea, because most of those who are pro gun are nuts and usually racist sexist, homophobic or just generally right wing and not at all positive about it. I don't think kids should be near guns unless they know safety and all of that sort of stuff and even then it is dangerous. If the teachers have guns hopefully they are directed at the right people (politicians and school boards and stuff like that which are anti teacher and anti student for the most part)

I got an idea...

Instead of supplying our teachers with firearms so they can respond with deadly force when some fool starts shooting up their school,

Why not fix the fuc*ed up conditions that make people want to go postal in the first place?

But I know, more guns is always the answer....

Its public property, they should have a choice and teh voters should have a choice.

If it works out more schools will do it, if it does not work then it will not spread. Trial and error. Would have prevented Columbine.

I don't think my school district needs it but ones near me probably do. Teachers have the right to go to work without fear of death, parents have the right to home school if they don't like it.

Its called freedom...I don't understand the far left, they like to cherry pick which freedoms THEY THINK people should have. Don't know who died and blessed them with the ability to know whats best for everyone else.

Yeah, because when the childs parents sue the teacher for killing their " emotionally disturbed" child things will go great.

lol! i wander when it will come to my school. id LOVE to see my math teacher drop the gun and accidentally blow his nuts off! that would be hilarious!!!!

They did that here in Arizona and a student got the gun and shot up the class. You think that'll solve anything? I don't.
