Liberos and Serving???

Question

I'm a libero and really want to serve. I have been told they can't. But I thought I saw on wikipedia that they can only if they go in for the same player, and that's its common in high school play (my level) Which is true?

Umm where I play the libero cannot serve, but since I absolutely love to serve I asked my coach if I could play another position in addition to libero and they agreed and now im happy!

It depends where your from.  If you live in the US then i believe libero's can serve.(that may be changing)  Everywhere else in the world I believe the Libero doesn't serve.  I know in Canada the libero doesn't serve.

Yes that is true.  That is the way we play on my Hight School team.  (lol  jk.)  My Friend's high school team.  Ask your coach and she will tell you what to do!!

It depends on your region and your team's affiliation.  Most clubs do not allow liberos serving.  Some high schools do.

If you're a really good server playing libero, you could just be a defensive specialist and your coach sub you in for the middle hitter when it comes time for her to serve.  Then you could play across the back row.

it depends oin where you. The us i know that you can serve as a libero because i am a libero, and i haev served many times.

and the whole same player thing its not true. you can go in for any player at pretty much anytime. thats whats so special about libero and thats why they wear diferent colored jersey's.
