You would do well to look into Law Enforcement Against Prohibition. It is a group of police officers, judges, and attorneys, who oppose prohibition of recreational drugs. They run the gamut, as far as political views, but there are some libertarians among them (obviously, they all have libertarian leanings on the issue of drug laws). They may be able to offer you some helpful advice on how they have reconciled their own views with their chosen careers in law enforcement.
