Library records.?

I'm wondering because I have some books from the library in my old city, that I forgot to give back.

Theres about 6, and I know because of that I would not be able to check out books in that area.

But I live in a new county now, not country, county lol just to make it clear. And I'm wondering, do they keep records of the other counties. Or would they not know about the books/money I owe?

I really want to visit the library where I live now but I'm scared to go there and they have that I owe those books and I'll be horribly embarrassed.

Does anyone know if it changes with different counties?

  1. No, your new library probably won't have a record of your unreturned books at your old library.  But you should probably return those books anyway, just to make yourself feel better.  =]

  2. UK answer.

Just return them and tell you overlooked them, but you are returning them now.

This is the genealogy forum and through posting this question? here you are in breach of the yahoo community guidelines.

  3. If you live in another state I wouldn't  worry... but don't be surprised if they do have records after all with the Internet everything is easier.

Just return the books with an apology if not in person then ship them.
