  1. A 'Libertarian' is different to a Republican on a number of issues. Generally Libertarians are more liberal on social issues, however they can be even more conservative on economic issues.

    They generally favour low taxes, small government and gun rights like conservatives (sometimes supporting these to a more extreme level) but also favour socially liberal policies such as drug legalisation and abortion rights, although some exceptions exist.
