Librettela expected to dominate Betfair Handicap
Librettela is expected to dominate proceedings in the Betfair Handicap at Kempton in England on Monday, April 30, 2012. The winner of the class-5 race will be awarded a cash prize of £2,264.
The going will be standard in the 1 mile 3 furlong race, which is scheduled to start at 16:15 GMT. A total of 12 runners will be seen in action and their names are as follows: Laughing Jack, Beat Route, Isdaal, Librettela, Brouhaha, Refractor, Danehill Dante,
If You Whisper, Shirataki, Archelao, Golden Waters and Mafeteng.
Looking at the recent form of Librettela, the bookies have awarded him with the best odds for the race. He might also win the confidence of the bookies, who are likely to place a lot of bets in his favour.
The four-year-old gelding has participated in nine races until now, winning three of them. Other than that, he has never managed to finish in the top three, which shows that he is a touch inconsistent.
However, the Alan Jarvis’ trainee has improved a lot in recent times, as he was victorious in his previous two outings. He was up against some fierce competitors in his most recent race and was not given the best odds. Despite that, he managed to impress
one and all and won by a head distance.
Librettela will be partnered by Kieren Fallon, who is an experienced campaigner and has managed to win plenty of events in his career. His strike rate is also quite impressive, which goes onto show that he performs with a lot of consistency.
On the other hand, Beat Route has also managed to get pretty decent odds for the race, as he is a seasoned runner. He has taken part in 34 events, winning just three of them and finishing runner up on four occasions. Moreover, he has also secured four third
place finishes, which suggests that he has the tools to challenge for top positions.
However, the Michael Attwater’s trainee is not carrying good momentum at the moment, as he finished seventh in his most recent run. He will need a trouble free race in order to end up on top of the table at Kempton.
Laughing Jack will be the other one to watch out for in the race, as he is a quality runner.
