  1. They can be used for many conditions, as other writers have already stated.  Why did your doctor prescribe them for YOU?   I can't read his mind.  Do you have an anxiety condition?  Are you withdrawing from alcohol abuse?  Do you have a seizure disorder?

    As far as I know, they aren't useful For People Who Capitalize Every Word In A Sentence Though....

  3. Librium is in a class of drugs called benzodiazepines. Other drugs in this class are: Valium, Xanax, Klonopin, Ativan. Depending on what srug it is they ones in this class are used for several reasons but mostly: anxiety (or nerves), as sleeping pills, for seizure control or for alcohol detox. I guess it depends on what you were telling you doctor was wrong to be able to figure out why the doctor prescribed Librium.
