Libys Dream looking good in the Lodge Park Stud European Breeders Fund Park Express Stakes at the Curragh
Though the Tom Dascombe trained 4-year-old bay filly, Libys Dream, has never run at the Curragh before, but the way she has bounced back after a dull performance at the start of this year, she has to be considered one of the favorites to win the Group 3
Lodge Park Stud European Breeders Fund Park Express Stakes for3-year-old and up fillies and mares to run over a distance of 1 mile on 1 yielding surface on 25 March, 2012.
Libys Dream will be competing against 11 other runners. Sent at 20 to 1 for today’s race, Libys Dream has shown a remarkable turnaround after a dismal start to the year’s proceedings when the filly finished an unplaced 10th on the day in the Prix
Miss Satamixa (Listed Race) for 4-year-old and above fillies and mare going over a distance of seven and a half furlongs.
Sharing the same sire as Anam Allta, the daughter of Invincible Spirit, Irish bred, Libys Dream, sent at 17 to 1 broke swiftly from the get go under jockey Richard Kingscote, and the pair found themselves leading the pack and opened up a lead going one and
a half furlong out, but the pressure from the back was too much to handle and the filly faded to finish 10th.
Out of mare Perilous Pursuit by Lemon Drop Kid, Libys Dream turned it around in her next race of the new season in the Get Your Bet On At Bluesq.com Fillies’ Handicap at about seven furlongs  at Lingfield on 24 Feb, 2012, where she was defeated by the 11
to 10 favourite, Triple Charm, 1 ¾ lengths after being sent as the 2 to 1 choice.
It wasn’t enough to bring Libys Dream down, as she came more determined in her next race, the New William Hill Iphone App Lady Wulfruna Stakes at Wolverhampton on 10 March, 2012, at about seven furlongs.
She was sent as the 16 to 1 choice, but defeated the 7 to 2 favourite, Belgian Bill, by a mere head in an exciting finish to the race.
Libys Dream capped off her 2011 season with two wins on the trot, but she might not be the punters favourite this afternoon, but she is certainly going to be right up there with the leaders come race time.
