Licence picture taken at car dealer.?

Question

I just recently visited a small car dealer. And when asked for a test drive the car salesman asked for my licence and took a picture of it. Is there any potential harm or danger in this? Sorry for being so paranoid.

nah they just take a record of eveyone that test drives their cars

Not unless your social security # was on there and the paper got lost or otherwise compromised.  Otherwise they need it in case you decide to take off with the vehicle.

he just wanted your info incase you didn't come back with the car

They do this for their protection and you have nothing to worry about.
