License conversion?

Hey Pilots

i am a Australian holder of a commercial license with instrument rating and instructor rating. I wish to shortly work in the states for 6-18months in some form of GA flying(no matter how small) and need to know the requirements and procedures to convert my Aussie license into a FAA. Any help would be great thank you.

There is a specific mention of Australian pilots toward the bottom of the page so it shouldn't be a problem.
