Question:

License for temporary traffic lights on public road, costs????

i need temporary traffic ligths to allow scaffolding to do my roof. Will be needed for a week on a small road leading into town.

Just need a rough indication os costs for the licenses from the council.

am i taling £200 or £2000 for the licence, any info would be great

    as you don't even say which council you will be asking!

    Costs between councils vary.


  2. Just a thought thats come to mind  you going place to place  hiring thing like the lights and scaffolding  will each be adding VAT  ?

      Then my mind says a large firm would have all the gear  would the overall job be zero VAT  so cheaper than DIY??

  3. Why not get in touch with North Dorset District Council in Blandford?  There is a phone number on their website.

    They will be able to tell you the exact cost - anyone here will just be making a guess.
