License plate expiration date..?!?

Question

Can somebody tell me how you can find the expiration date on your license plate...? is it on the actual license plate or on certain papers..?!

it is on the sticker on the plate month only, the date of the month is on the registration its sele hope this helps good luck!

Its on the plate itself. There should be stickers on the upper left and right side of the plate with one number 1-12 (the month) and the other with the year '08, 09, 10, etc...

They have to be on there so that police can tell and pull you over if they are expired.

the way i find mine is to look on the registration form when u apply for the tag and it will tell you but if u look on the plae it will show u the mth and the yr and youll know then its time to get another 1

The REGISTRATION papers specify the date of expiration for that vehicle for that year. The license plate may NOT tell you when the registration actually expires. I have VW that expires on the 18th of this month according to the registration, but my stickers only show the this month and this year. The only reason for the stickers is for the cops to see a quick go/no-go on whether you registration has expired. The stickers are NOT proof of registration, the documents required to be carried with the vehicle ARE.
