License plate question?

Question

What does the city, state represent on a license plate? There is no DMV in my city, but there is 2 nearby. Is the city on the plate, the location of the DMV? If it is, Can I change the city because I'm farther from there and not a big fan of that city that my parents scheduled me to.

Fan or no fan, your gonna have to change to where your living at.

City & state on your plate is where your vehicle is registered, usually where you reside for tax & insurance purpose.  Most states permit you to go to any neighboring DMV in that state to renew your license, registraton &/or plates.  The DMV knows that you may live in one town, but work or shop in another.  If you still have questions, do call your DMV to save yourself headaches & time.
