What is the first thing to do once in the car with the officer? Is the parking brake going to be in use? I'm so nervous!

Relax as stated. That's key.. Be attentive. Follow the instructors directions. If you are unsure what he wants you to

do, have him repeat it.... And make full stops when at stopsigns.  Let him do the talking...

seatbelt. the trooper or patrolman will tell you what to do.
