License to drink or license to drive?

if at age 18 you could choose a provisional 3 year license to drive or provisional 3 year license to buy alcohol, but not both, what would you do?

  1. Drive and then get someone to buy the alcohol for me... that is what goes on now.


  2. Drive of course.  Anyone else can buy the alcohol.  Just don't mix the 2...

  3. You need to figure out what your priorities are. Do you need to buy alcohol so you can get drunk, or do you need to drive a car to get to work and make a living? And, how are you going to get the money to buy alcohol if you can't get to work?

    Me, I would rather drive to work than sit at home all day drunk.

    *EDIT* - It all depends on where you live. If you live in the city, there is a good chance you have public transportation available to you. But I live in a rural area, well outside walking and biking distance to my job (and very little business within that distance), and no public transportation.
