  1. What are the benefits

The pay and benefits are better than private practice?

Recently the pay is enhanced to 4 times the basic pay

The posibility being sent to "warzones" is very meager say 10 percent

  2. You'll probably start out as an E-2 because of your education.Did you earn a bachelors degree? If so....why not try to go to Officers School? Getting your licensure and degree will take you a long way in the military....so get it all finished BEFORE you enlist.  The Navy does have a LOT of medical jobs and Physical Therapist would land you in a clinic or hospital helping injured sailors to recover from wounds or duty injuries. Also consider the Army or Air Force for this job as well. They have more openings. I think you'll be going to training at Ft. Sam Houston in San Antonio for medical schooling....which probably lasts about 3-4 months after you finish Basic Training. Doubtful that you'll be in a war zone....but you could be sent to a MASH type facility far behind the lines of combat. These types of injuries are typically treated in a main hospital facility.

  3. Good questions to ask a recruiter who can give you good answers.
