Licensing your <span title="pet.......................?">pet.........................</span>

Question

okay... I know this may sound a little stupid, and I probably already know the answer, but I just got off work, I am tired and my brain isn't working.... but what does it mean to license your dog?

I know I know it, but it is not mandatory where I live.. at least I dont think is I should probably check into it..... and I cannot for the life of me remember what it is.

   In many counties  you must buy a license tag for your pets along with the rabies tag. In my county the rabies is the license but in Ct you had to buy 2 tags every year.

Basically it&#039;s just paying a fee to register your dog with the town. They give you a tag with a number and such.

Keep your dog&#039;s license current.  If your dog gets out and bites another dog or worse a person, this information can be very helpful to the wounded and ultimately your dog.  If the city can look your dog up in their records and see they are current on their shots then the wounded won&#039;t have to take rabbies shots as a precaution against the unknown.  It is responsible pet ownership.  Be responsible.
