Lies, Lies, Lies.... Do all men lie?????

I'm having trouble trusting my husband. He is the kindest man I've ever known, and I know that he would do anything for me. But he tells the smallest lies, some that really don't have anything to do with anything. Like "Oh, I saw our neighbor get arrested" I knew it wasn't true, so I said "well I'm going to go ask him what happened" and he was like I'm lying. Small lies as well like "I didn't drink the last coke".. It has gotten so frustrating that I can't believe anything he says anymore!!!! At the least he tells me 2-3 lies a day. I know they are lies because I confront him and then he tells me they were.... Can I ever trust him again? Someone Help please!!!

  1. not all, just most.... if he's lying about the coke maybe he just doesn't want to get into trouble..bad husband bad!.... he's not telling a lie about more serious stuff which is good, he probably is a little compulsive liar and just needs to find a way to stop

  2. omg! that would drive me insane.....

i think that he might be doing that because he is bored with his reality...  maybe the lies keep him amused or something....or maybe he wants you to thin that his day was full of excitement when it wasnt ....like if maybe you are constantly telling him stories about your day and he feels like "oh i gotta sound just as interesting"

sounds wierd but i know people that have dont that!

but you knw if i were you or if my husband was doing that, i would just flat out say that it is frustrating that you are constantly telling white lies and cant understand why you say these lies... i cant believe anything you say and its going to end up hurting our relationship...

good luck and definetly just be bold and honest> let him know

  3. They sound like playful lies, though. Maybe you can play around with him too. Like, your mother called today and said she's having a baby. Or, clog up the bathtub and say there's plumbing problems. Get back at him.

  4. talk to him he maybe a compulsive liar

  5. well tell him to stop lying for every lilttle thing cause he will get use to it and will lie about something mayor! good luck sweetie!

  6. Us men lie no more than women.

  7. it must be something in the air  cause my husband is the same way!

he is the best hubby and daddy but omg the SMALLEST lies are getting to me also...

    example :

    he calls from the cell

    me: hey babe wwhats up?

him: can i have the number to zgrill

    me: sure hold on

me: why do you wanna order something for dinner for you ?

him : no i just want to give jason (his friend at work ) the #

me: oh ok the # is ....

him: oh i thought that was it, i  just tried that  but there was nop answer

me: oh i thought you just wanted it for jason , but you just tried calling it , to order something?

    him: ummm yeah

this doesnt sound like anything but when it happens time and time again 2-5 times a day they start adding up. why is it soooo hard for them just to tell the 100% truth ?  i can trust him 100% with the big stuff but the little stuff i cant trust at all

i know im not much help but you are not the only one feeling the way you are

  8. Maybe he does not have nothing to talk to you about so he makes up things, why dont you just talk to him instead of him trying to talk to youmaybe he wont lie nomore, oh by the way I DON'T LIE EITHER

  9. If my bf has lied to me he says it was because he didn't want me to get mad at him. They are usually small and dumb too, but not that dumb.  Maybe he is trying to make conversation.

  10. LOL....start lying to him.  Just kidding, he may not see it as a problem. talk to him, don't get mad at him.

  11. I don't lie.

In fact I can't remember the last time i lied....That's right

In fact I've NEVER lied. Get that, Never lied..............

I just don't roll that way.........

I've never taken the last Coke or even the last cookie either.

    Why do you ask?

  12. That's what u call a "Pathelogical Liar", and he needs to just stop w/that.Usually ppl that lies like that it's a habit formed, and as u and i know already habits are truly harrd to break, so i say u have a hard one to deal with hun, sorry about that.

  13. No. All men don't lie. I'm a man. Am I lying?  Bwahahahaha!

Seriously. He's mental, wacked, worm-in-the-head crazy as a peach orchard boar. Don't believe anything he says. Okay, if he says the house is on fire, go check it out. But otherwise, you've been warned.

Or you could top him. Only you say, "You're dinner's ready... Oops I lied." "I brought you shoes in before it rained... Oops. I lied."  "You're hot. Lied."  "I left dog p**p in your slipper.  Oh, Yeah. I didn't lie that time."

  14. hes either a pathological liar or he has trouble starting conversations.  I would go with the pathological liar, and can you trust him?  no you will always doubt every little thing he says.  But if he cops to it soon after, I wouldn't be too  worried.

  15. Tell him you don't love him anymore because he lies, see if he believes you!

  16. Some people are habitual liars and can't break the habit. I had the sweetest girlfriend (for awhile) but she was so dramatic and told so many stupid lies I dumped her eventually......If he lies all the time, he will have no problem with bigger lies too.

  17. Ok it is one thing to lie about the last coke but making stories up about the neighbors that is just wierd.  He is called an habitual liar.  I was married to one of those people not anymore.  My husband now of 7 years has lied to me once that I know of.  He doesn't make up stories like that.  My ex husband just made one up to my son.  My son was talking about my High School boyfriend and he lied to my son stating he was a wus that when the High School guy tried to see me when we were married he went up to his car and tried to pull him out of the car.  That never happened and my ex husband is 42 years old.  That is just plain wierd.  My ex husband lied and cheated on me as well.  I am sure glad I am not married to him any longer.  He hasn't changed a bit in 13 years since we divorced.

  18. It's weird to me that he lies and then tells you he's lying. There is a real personality disorder called Pathological Liar. He may need professional help. Visit this website. I would have just pasted it here but it's a large article with lots of information. Read it. It is very informative. Good luck. Oh, and have you told him that lying to you is outside marital boundaries and therefore totally unacceptable?

  19. Of course,  women just "Change their minds" when it comes to holding up their end of a bargain.... where I come from it's called lying too but hey... who am I to say?

  20. Your husband loves to play "Head games" with you.  He thinks he is a jokester, however, he is lying, but may not see it as that.  It can be frustrating.  Especially, if you take him seriously, or call him on it, and then he says it is not true.  It is a bad habit.  I was married to a man like this.  It only got worse.

Explain it to him in simple terms. The thing is when he tells the truth, you will believe it is a lie.  Just like the book, "The little boy who cried wolf."

  21. Lying is brought on by testosterone.

  22. It sounds like he is wanting to get caught doing something wrong and this is a easy thing with the little lies. You see if momma catches you being bad then you can get punished and then its time to make up,believe me lots of guys like to get caught doing something a little bad and being straightened out, learn the rules, and then make up, he gets attention and see's that your a good mom for the kids. If you didn't care he would lose interest and your relationship would be over in a month, its a game and he is enjoying it.

  23. Yes all men lie  and so do women   So what is your point??

  24. Only to women!!!
